Far Cry 5 has been delayed. A press release from Ubisoft says that the game’s release will be pushed back by one month.
Here's an (updated) look at everything we know about Far Cry 5.
Far Cry 5 was originally slated for release on February 27, 2018, but Ubisoft have announced that they will be “investing more time in the development of three upcoming games.” Far Cry’s release date has been pushed back to March 27, while The Crew 2 has been delayed to “the first half of Fiscal 2018-19,” despite an initial release date of March 16. The third game is an as-yet-unannounced title which was due to be released in the 2018/19 fiscal year, but will now come out in the 2019/20 financial year instead.
After briefly visiting the ancient world, Far Cry is returning to the present day to be reunited with its first love: guns. And boy, does Far Cry 5 have a lot of guns. Its main antagonists - a crazed American cult - are staunch believers in the Second Amendment, and are willing to use it to increase their congregation. But what else will Far Cry 5 provide? Find out right here with our handy guide to everything we know.

Far Cry 5 release date
Bad news, folks: Ubisoft have pushed the Far Cry 5 release date back a month to March 27, 2018. The original Far Cry 5 release date was slated for February 27, 2018, the same week that Primal launched back in 2016. Hopefully this is the only Far Cry 5 delay.

“Over time we’ll address how we will want to bring the MTX either into the game or not and what form we will decide to bring it into,” Jorgensen explained during a NASDAQ investor conference. He didn’t elaborate any further according to Glixel, but clearly the topic is more up for debate at EA HQ than people may have assumed.
